Founded in 1950, McCay Tool and Engineering is a St. Louis-based manufacturer specializing in the precision machining of aerospace components.

In 1950, Stanley McCay founded McCay Tool and Engineering in response to the U.S. Government’s need for contract manufacturers after World War II. Renowned for its precision production of custom components for military-grade missiles, McCay Tool and Engineering built a reputation as a quality manufacturer and supplier for aerospace and defense agencies nationwide.

The 1970s represented a period of sustained growth and reputability for McCay Tool and Engineering. New ownership relocated the McCay headquarters to a larger facility in the St. Louis area in 1974.

McCay Tool and Engineering witnessed unprecedented acclaim in the late 1980s as the company was selected and contracted by the United States Department of Defense to produce warheads for the Raytheon-produced Patriot missiles. The deal solidified McCay Tool and Engineering as a premier contract manufacturer for United States defense agencies.

In 2005, McCay Tool and Engineering relocated to a 4.5 acre site in downtown St. Louis. The new location—three times the size of the previous—allowed McCay Tool to double the size of its staff and increase production even more.

In 2022, McCay was acquired by P4G Capital. P4G stands for Partners 4 Growth and is proving to be committed to investing into the people, equipment, and capabilities of McCay Tool to grow its footprint in the market of Aerospace/Defense.

Today, McCay Tool and Engineering is known worldwide as an industry leader for precision machined parts. We proudly serve major aerospace clients including Boeing and Lockheed Martin and maintain our continued contract partnerships with the United States government and the governments of its allies. We are well-positioned in the ever-evolving aerospace industry to offer a trusted and quality manufacturing network to our customers.
