CNC Turning

Here at McCay Tool and Engineering, we are highly capable of producing complex and critically dimensioned custom parts through our CNC lathes, providing high-quality CNC turned metal parts for rapid prototyping, low or high-volume production. The team at McCay are experts in using CNC turning to create intricate products and components for our customers.

Our highly skilled machinists can create precision parts on all types of CNC lathes and our contemporary machining center helps to assure a level of similarity almost identical between the machined parts.

CNC turning is the right process if your parts require controlled concentricity, stable runout, and accurate threaded profiles. Examples include parts with rotary surfaces that require precision machining. The most common example of a turned part is a shaft.

McCay offers CNC turning for:

  • functional prototypes and end-use parts
  • parts with cylindrical features
  • parts with axial and radial holes, flats, grooves, and slots

Automated and cost-effective

McCay employs CNC lathes that are highly automated, providing efficient products that can reduce labor. Our multi-axis CNC turning centers and mill-turn lathes allow for multiple processes and multi-step machining operations on a single machine, making them a cost-effective option for complex geometries. We offer a process that is highly scalable which makes it adaptable to both low and high-volume production.

Equipment in use:
